Play Games That Actors Play is a Newcastle based business with a primary
focus on conversion
of personal videos and films (Super 8/Standard 8) to
digital format for presentation on DVD, Blu-Ray and/or Hard Disk
Drive. For film transfers we convert to digital
files by a
computerised frame-by-frame process after first cleaning the film and
making any necessary minor repairs. After video/film
transfer,
some further basic processing may occur to improve image and colour.
However, final quality will depend to a large degree on the
quality of material provided. We can provide the converted
video/film on DVD, Blu-Ray and/or as digital files. Masters of DVDs and
Blu-Rays are provided on 1000 year M-Discs any additional copies can be
provided on the same highly durable disks or standard DVDs or Blu-Rays.
Digital files can also be provided on Hard Disk
Drive, 1000 year M-Disc (up to 100Gb Blu-Ray) or other storage media.
Please note your videos/films should be “home
movies” or
you can demonstrate you have copyright authority for their
conversion/copying.
Games That Actors Play will also undertake various other activities
related to film production and tuition.
This includes videography services for such things
as parties,
sporting events, concerts, etc. So, feel free to contact us to discuss

David
A Elliott
David is the founder of Games That
Actors Play and has been involved in film, TV and theatre
as cast and crew since 1994.
David has been awarded several qualifications through TAFE in acting
and film-making. These are Certificate
II in Media
& Performance (2003), Certifcate
III in Screen
(2006), and Diploma
of
Screen (2008). David was also awarded the Outstanding
Student Achievement
Award for his film-making studies in 2008. Apart
from this David has completed numerous short courses in acting and
film-making at such places as National
Institute of Dramatic Art(NIDA), Actors
College of Theatre and
Television (ACTT), and Metro Screen.
In 2006 his short film Rob Ridgeway Mobile
Massage Therapy won the Encouragement
Award
at the Newcastle
Film
Festival.
David's work as film crew includes being Best Boy on the independent
feature film Bathing
Franky at the end of 2009.
David appears in the feature film Pop-Up released
in 2015. He plays the character of a scathing theatre critic
upon
